A Bioderma Dupe

Saturday 31 May 2014

So by now we all have heard that Garnier have released their Bioderma equivalent. But does it actually measure up? I was quite sceptical at first because whenever other brands release a new cleansing water competitor they never really hit the mark. Being either too greasy, having a funky smell, you get the drift.

I picked this up for two reasons. The first is i'ts new and the second it was an absolute steal at $11.99 for 400ml of the stuff. Also lets address the fact that it is clearly mimicking our beloved French version, and I have to stay that the product itself is almost identical.
That night when I got home I decided to test it by using Bioderma on one eye and the Garnier version on the other, and it was a real struggle to tell the difference between them. Ladies and gentlemen, it's just as good!
It is water-like in consistency, no funky smell, removes every trace of makeup, leaves no oily residue and no irritation whatsoever.

Now lets talk numbers. The 500ml Bioderma retails for $39.95 and the 400ml Garnier retails for only $11.99 (keeping in mind its pretty much always on sale, I got mine at a Chemist Warehouse for around $9). Ahem, calling all Bioderma lovers on a budget, we have a winner!
